Rob Ford: man, mayor, recreational crack user? No. Mr. Ford continues to deny such allegations. Has he smoked marijuana and crack? Of course, I mean, who hasn't? However, he doesn't do that on a regular basis. He only smokes crack when he gets a little too drunk, and who can blame him for that? His TV show he had gotten with his brother (after his radio show had been cancelled due to crack scandals) was cancelled after its debut episode due to his lack of ability to edit and record it cheaply. The city has taken away many privileges from him including the right to govern in an emergency situation and have even changed some of the locks in his office. In all fairness, he has been struggling with his weight (not his frequent alcohol or occasional crack use!) and is now seeking help to lose weight and says everyone will see improvements in as soon as five months! This detail brings everything full circle for myself. He only smoked crack because he wanted to look trim and fit to lead the good people of Toronto. The most surprising thing about this situation is there are still many people who love him in Toronto. Maybe a little dose of cocaine and baking soda is exactly what Toronto needed?

And recently we hit a demographic turning point for the United States: For the first time in perhaps a century, deaths among non-Hispanic whites outnumber births. Researchers say they weren’t surprised by this; however it came ten years earlier than expected. And in fact researchers say if current trends continue then we may perhaps “run out of people” within the 21st century.

The horrific tornadoes that swept through Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky left a devastating mark on towns across these states. This storm line of tornadoes was 300 miles long, killed 6 people, and many more injured. The storm was traveling at about 60 mph with winds ranging between 166 and 200 mph and was rated an EF-4 storm. The hardest hit town was Washington, Illinois and the town completely flattened. There were many subdivisions of about 20-30 homes and there were none to be seen after the tornadoes swipe through the town Sunday afternoon. People who saw the storm coming rush to safety in their basement until the storm passed. The next thing they new they could see light up their basement stairs which meant that their house was gone. The National Weather Service had reported that their was a total of 65 tornadoes that touched down on Sunday but that number could be unaccurate because many people could have counted the same tornado more than once. There have been 9 serve tornadoes that have hit the Chicago area between the years of 1920 and the most current one in 2013.

Summary: The mayor of Toronto caught my eye yesterday when I was doing my homework and it getting popping up on the newsfeed on the MSN website. I didn't look much into then but since I got the chance today I did. Rob Ford, the mayor of Toronto has been accused of many different things including: smoking crack at least 'once', binge drinking, assaulting a fellow coworker with oral sex and ramming into a woman counselor. His actions and behaviors recently have embarrassed Toronto and many of the civilians wish it would just end. Although mayor Ford is not stripped of the name of mayor of Toronto, he did get cut back 60% of office budget. Will he surrender to this accusations thrown at him? Or will he continue to fight what the press and everyone else says or believes? Well I think that is something that we will find out shortly thanks to full media coverage.

The supreme court vetoed his final requests for a longer stay. Where technology comes into play with this article is when we look into how these executions are carried out. When the US first started doing executions it started by simply hanging and then technology introduced the electric chair and then finally evolved into the lethal injection.

Have you herd of the new Facebook sensation suicide mouse. It puts questions into play about who Walt Disney may have really been. I recently came across this story on Facebook on a creepy page. This content is actually kind of disturbing and isn't for the faint of heart. So do any of you remember those Mickey Mouse cartoons from the 1930s? The ones that were all in black in white? Well, I hear there is one that was unreleased to even the most avid classic Disney fans. It's nothing special. It's just a continuous loop of mickey walking past 6 buildings that goes on for two or three minutes before fading out. Unlike the cutesy tunes put in though, the song on this cartoon was not a song at all, just a constant banging on a piano as if the keys for a minute and a half before going to white noise. It wasn't the jolly old Mickey we've come to love either, Mickey wasn't even smiling, just kind of walking as if you or I were walking, with a normal facial expression, but for some reason his head tilted side to side as he kept this dismal look. Up until a year or two ago, everyone believed that after it cut to black and that was it. When Leonard Maltin was reviewing the cartoon to be put in the complete series, he decided it was too junk to be on the DVD. When he had a digitized version up on his computer to look at the file, he noticed something. The cartoon was 9 minutes and 4 seconds long. After it cut to black, it stayed like that until the 6th minute, before going back into Mickey walking. The sound was different this time. It was a murmur. It wasn't a language, but more like a gurgled cry. As the noise got more indistinguishable and loud over the next minute, the picture began to get weird. The sidewalk started to go in directions that seemed impossible based on the physics of Mickeys walking. And the dismal face of the mouse was slowly curling into a smirk. On the 7th minute, the murmur turned into a bloodcurdling scream and the picture was getting more obscure. Colors were happening that shouldn't have been possible at the time. Mickey face began to fall apart, his eyes rolled on the bottom of his chin like two marbles in a fishbowl, and his curled smile was pointing upward on the left side of his face. The buildings became rubble floating in midair and the sidewalk was still impossibly navigating in warped directions. Mr. Maltin got disturbed and left the room, sending an employee to finish the video and take notes of everything happening up until the last second.
ReplyDeleteThis distorted screaming lasted until 8 minutes and a few seconds in, and then it abruptly cuts to the mickey mouse face at the credits of the end of every video with what sounded like a broken music box playing in the background. This happened for about 30 seconds. From a security guard who was making rounds outside of that room, I was told that after the last frame, the employee stumbled out of the room with pale skin saying "Real suffering is not known" 7 times before taking the guards pistol and offing himself on the spot. The thing I could get out of Leonard Maltin was that the last frame was a piece of Russian text that roughly said "the sights of hell bring its viewers back in". "As far as I know, no one else has seen it ...until now."If you don't feel uneasy after this story then its only because you truly don't believe it. I chose this because it mentioned color in the cartoon that shouldn't have been technologically possible at the time! To me this was mind blowing, how on earth is this the only cartoon that had color at the time? Another thing that made me uneasy is that their method of recording sounds for their black and white movies. The screams and sounds herd in this video are most disturbing and I wonder how they were recorded for this video in the first place. Theories of Walt Disney being apart of the illuminati may not be so much theory as to truth. This video puts you in a dark place. Makes you wonder how such a creative man that created every child's movie you remember can be so dark. A lot of theories come into play after watching this, but don't worry. Watching this video wont automatically make you want to off yourself. I watched it a few times now and here I am today writing to you about it. I will admit I couldn't get the screams out of my head for awhile but music will help with that.
