"Don't quit your day job"...but...

Review the following slide show.  What are at least three trends you notice from one millionaire to another?  What business idea interests you the most?  Why?  If someone came up to you and offered you a million dollars to tell them your best entrepreneur idea what would your idea be?  Why?

  1. Each millionaire started trying to do business when they were young, they weren't discouraged by success, and they had no room for negative people in their circles. The idea that interests me the most would have to be The Hear and Play Music Group. As a musician, I would have loved to be able to go online and take lessons from someone else when I first started. Actually, I could have, but I didn't know that existed. If I was offered a million dollars to tell an entrepreneur my best idea, I would tell him to "Get bent." because my idea is worth more than a million dollars. Perhaps after some bartering and after talking to my co-founders, we could talk more numbers. I'm not so lazy that I would short myself on many more millions for one million at the start. There is a reason Drake's song is "started from the bottom, now we here" and not "started from the bottom, but I took a million dollars and now someone else is singing my song."

  2. A trend I noticed in each millionaire is that they had ideas when they were young, and brought them forward into thriving businesses. It seems as if they didn't take no for an answer, and they didn't let others put them down. The idea that I am most interested in is The Hear and Play Music Group. I am not very musically inclined, but this seems like a good way to start learning how to play an instrument. If someone came up to me and offered me a million dollars for my best entrepreneur idea, I can honestly say I would be speechless. I wouldn't know what to come up with since so many things are being invented all the time.

  3. A few trends I see from one millionaire to another is that they all started respectfully young and that few of them had business degrees when they started. It just goes to prove that even if you have a good education, it won’t amount to much if you don’t have determination and a knack for knowing what people want. They also were passionate or had a genuine interest in what they were marketing and selling. My favorite idea out of the ones we looked over is Matt Mickiewicz’s because he has an array of sites he founded and one of them happens to be graphic design. I think creativity is something that people will always want to buy and having someone else do it for you where you are lacking is a great business angle. He also sells a sort of ‘online real estate’ where people can buy and sell websites. As for my entrepreneurial idea, instead of making a whole new product of some sort, I’d much rather open a shop and sell products I’m interested in. Whether it be by using an online platform or your standard brick and mortar building. As for what that product would be, I’d have to do some research and find out exactly who I’d want to target towards for my product.

  4. In each instance, I noticed that the millionaires were ambitious, creative, and showed perseverance. I think that starting up a website is the idea that interests me the most. You need to find a good or service that is helpful and valuable to many people, make it a low cost to start out, and build off of it from there. If someone were to offer me a million dollars for my best entrepreneur idea, I would tell them to get lost. I got this theory from the show "Shark Tank" that if you take your time, show patience, and obtain ambition, the sky is the limit for someone and their company.

  5. From looking at many of these millionaires, it appears that the common factor between them is to start young. As responsibilities increase, your time and desire to put that time towards your dreams decreases. Also putting your effort into something you really care about is important too. If your just trying to make it rich off of any old idea, chances of success are minimal. And probably one of the most important things I saw between the millionaires is starting small. When you start out small it allows you to master your potential and decrease your risks. Then once you become more and more profitable you can take your business to the next level.

If someone offered me a million dollars for my best idea, well, they better have some good design skills and technology to make the idea happen because many of the ideas I have would be nearly impossible to create with current technology. Although, I do have many ideas in my head but they simply are just thoughts that really have no meaning.

  6. Three trends I notice are they all started in their later teens, learned how to create these new inventions by themselves, and their ideas all have to related to computer world and making connection between other easier. The business that interests me the most would probably be "Hear and Play Music Group" because I think its neat that Jermaine Griggs wants to helps students know music so well to the point that their ears are trained to play by ear and not have to look at a sheet of music. If I was offered a million dollars for my best entrepreneur idea it would probably be along the lines of having a website that would allow teachers all over the world to connect and share ideas and thoughts with each other on projects or how to prepare lectures but make them fun involving the students.

  7. As I read this article, I noticed that many of these millionaires started at a young age. Each one them strongly believed in themselves that what they were doing is truly beneficial for everyone. They thought outside the box and none of them thought of money. Instead they followed what they were passionate about and made it a reality. A business idea that really interested me was the The Hear and Play Music Group. I thought it was really cool that you could take lessons from someone that could potentially be across the world from you, yet he is teaching you how to use an instrument, which I always thought would need to be taught hands on. If someone were to offer me a million dollars, I would have no idea exactly what I would do with it. I do know that it would be something to do with technology because that is a huge market place in our society today.

  8. I have noticed that the majority of these entrepreneurs started their businesses early in their life. They all started their business because of their passion towards certain things. Last but not least, they made sure that everyone on their teams were on board through the entire process. The most interesting idea in my opinion, was Facebook. I know that that man went through a lot to make sure his website was a success, and I think that is what's so interesting to me.
I have actually tried selling one of my ideas back in middle school. A friend and I called Invent Help, and the guy we talked to seemed pretty interested in our idea, and wanted to start the patenting process.

  9. Going on the website with the people who made a million dollars before they were 25 made me realize that they all had things in common. The first thing was that they all had a vision. The second thing was that they all had hope in their companies. The third thing was that they all started with a really good idea. The business idea that interested me the most was probally the grasshopper.com which was created by two young men. I really like how simple and easy to use their website is. For example ( http://grasshopper.com/how-it-works-and-features/ ). If someone came up to me and offered me a million dollars for my best business idea is, I would say it would have to be along the lines of a big warehouse selling a variety of products with one big store and the rest of the business all done online.

  10. I noticed that all their advice to give you is pretty similar they say you just have to go for it and put yourself out here. That you have to sell your idea and that never start too big so you can gain profit. I liked the company grasshopper made by two men. I guess I liked it because all these people are famous entrepreneur online and grasshopper helps people entrepreneur online. Just thought it was genius. As for ideas go I would say start a music download soft of website. Something like iTunes only not can you but songs but you can also sell them back if you don’t like it after buying it, or you just don’t listen to it anymore. Plus, once someone sold their song back they would most likely use it to buy another song. I would buy it for only half back so I could still make profit.
